We prepare our Mexican food with Corn or Flour
Tortillas, provided from some of the oldest tortilla makers in the Midwest,
primarily from Chicago. Depending on
your taste we prepare our entrées with your choice of steak, shredded beef,
ground beef, chicken, pork, fish, shrimp and as a special, lamb. Our house sauces, such as the Pico de Gallo,
Red and Green Salsas (tomatillo), Mole and other custom varieties as well as
our fried chips are hecho en casa (homemade).
We do not put “hot sauce” on our entrées. Some meals, like the Shrimp Diablo or Mole are spicier with
flavor and tend to be slightly hotter.
We do offer, however, hot sauce on request aside from our table salsa.
Our
desserts, such as the Flan and Mexican wedding cake are very traditional. The Mexican wedding cake is made with
pineapple and walnuts. It is a low fat
cake except for the light cream cheese and butter frosting.
All
entrées served as a platter include refried beans, Spanish rice and Pico de
Gallo. We do not use lard in preparing
our “frijoles”. We provide each table
or party with one complimentary basket of chips and Salsa.
